As a graduate from the State University of New York at Albany, I am driven to achieve the highest level of excellence in education especially in the following generations. I have received a BA in Chemistry and Pre-Med. These degrees have enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of science, math, and english. In addition, I have learned extensive health and grammatical skills due to writing research papers and laboratory reports, along with essays in many various areas of study. I began teaching as a college sophomore at MIT. For 9 years, I taught primarily Multivariable Calculus, but also single-variable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and several writing courses. Since graduating, I have been involved in various volunteer tutoring efforts. My minors are in Math, German, and Writing. I happen to be a black female, the first to earn bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering at MIT. I am happy to work with anyone, but I might be a particularly meaningful match for a minority or female student. In addition to tutoring, I would hope to serve as a "can-do" example for someone who might not have dared to dream big enough.
