I began teaching as a college sophomore at MIT. For 9 years, I taught primarily Multivariable Calculus, but also single-variable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and several writing courses. Since graduating, I have been involved in various volunteer tutoring efforts. My minors are in Math, German, and Writing. I happen to be a black female, the first to earn bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering at MIT. I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University. The field of industrial engineering draws much from statistics. Therefore a large portion of the curriculum is comprised of statistics courses. I have a background in basic statistics, regression analysis, data mining, design of experiments, statistical forecasting, and quality control.
