Life and destiny urged me to earn a teacher's certification in Texas, where I later worked as an ESL 4th-5th grade teacher in the Waco (Texas) Independent School District for three years. A move to Kentucky to be closer to my aging mother resulted in six years of working as the Adair County School District's Gifted and Talented Coordinator and ESL/ELL Coordinator. For the next 5 years I taught all levels of French grammar and PhD readings, as well as first and second semester English Grammar and Composition courses while pursuing my MFA in Literary Translation (French and Spanish). A Little Bit About Me...

Since graduating from Missouri State in the fall of 2009 with my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish education I have been substituting with Sparta schools and Republic schools. I have also been tutoring a student in Spanish. I completed my student teaching in the fall of 2009 with Ozark High School and Springfield Catholic School. Before then I spent several years working with kids at book festivals and in Mexico through Second Baptist Church. I also tutored special needs children at Ozark North Elementary during my high school years. Besides my Bachelor's degree I will also be certified to teach English to speaker's of other languages at the end of the spring 2010 semester.
