I have tutored since my 7th grade year at the public library and have been tutoring ever since. I want to expand my groups and help kids success in school no matter what subject it is. I attended a math academy when I was little, Kumon, and now I want to create something like that. I have had a lot of experience with kids because I have volunteered at many hospitals around in Katy, I am a member of the Red Cross Association, and I babysit occasionally.
I like to teach by first explaining the concept, having a book or something the child can keep and study out of, provide practice problems to the student, and last but not least help them with their homework.

I began tutoring people when I was in the eigth grade. I decided I wanted to help out at the school across the street from my middle school in Colorado. I enrolled in a class that allowed us to go and assist the teachers and help the students. I fell in love with kids then for sure. I already knew I liked them because I started babysitting when I was 11 and couldn't stop! Then in ninth grade, a neighbor failed kindergarten and asked if I would starting coming over several days a week to help him understand what was being taught. I think it takes a lot for one teacher to reach all of types of students who are all at different levels of interest in the subject being taught as well as at different levels of understanding.
