15 years experience in a broad variety of subjects!

I have a way of perceiving the difficulty the student has, and am able to explain the material in a simple way that makes it easy for students to grasp. I have a good rapport with my student and have had several that have told me that I am the best teacher they have ever had(which didn't hurt my ego!!) I also have a good sense of humor which puts students at ease- and it is proven that a tense mind can not learn, only when the student loses their anxiety over the material will they absorb it!

Need help with Biology? I can make learning fun!!

I have always used student-oriented teaching methods. For example I usually give the students real -life scenarios such as case studies to reinforce the concepts they learn. I also give the students worksheets and practice material. I have always received good feed back from students regarding my enthusiasm and knowledge of the subject.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Biology in a general biology program consisting of a wide range of courses in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. During the course of earning this degree, I twice served as a teacher's assistant for a lower division biology class. I also participated in a biology tutoring program for high school students. For the sciences, I have found that hands-on training is basically the most effective way for a student to understand these subjects. When expanded, this means presenting students with the bigger picture and relating topics to subjects of understanding, which is applicable in any field.
