I enjoy teaching math because its something you use in every day life. When it comes to math, I am easy going and patient because I know how stressful math can be if you are struggling with it. I love having the skill to be able to teach another person that skill. In the past, I have used analogies to help students to understand. Some students were able to catch on when I would use a different approach with others. My goal is to make it as easy as I can so that the student will come to love using mathematics.

I have been tutoring since high school. When I was in high school, I tutored my brother in elementary level math. When I was in college, I tutored students in chemistry and math. I have a bachelor's degree in chemistry and have also had numerous math courses. I can tutor in any math subject up to calculus 2 and up to any undergraduate chemistry course.
I find that the best way to tutor my students is to find out what they are struggling with the most in a subject and then helping them with the basics in that subject. I work with the student on the basics and then build up to more difficult material. I am patient with students of all ages. I believe that knowing the basics of a subject is always important.
