A Little Bit About Me...

As the second oldest of six kids I have a lot of at-home experience in tutoring. With a BA in Biology I feel very equipped to teach children in sciences. I have taken Anatomy, Physiology, Genetics, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics and every other major science. I intend on taking one year off before attending medical school. I find that the best way to tutor my students is to find out what they are struggling with the most in a subject and then helping them with the basics in that subject. I work with the student on the basics and then build up to more difficult material. I am patient with students of all ages. I believe that knowing the basics of a subject is always important. In college, I always had to know the basics to build on that knowledge. It can take some time to start at the bottom, but it's worth having the permanent knowledge over learning it short term just to pass the test.

I have earned my bachelors in Biology which makes me highly qualified to tutor in math and science. While I was in college I tutored students in 3rd-8th grade with math. I also received a Masters degree in Education which helped me learn different ways to teach subjects for higher achievement.
I love to help children understand a subject better. It is a great feeling to see a student get the idea after being helped.
