My comments on tutoring Trigonometry : My trigonometry experience comes from pre-calculus, so I am strong with identities and solving for sides and angles.

My teaching style is flexible because every student learns differently. What I usually start out with is showing examples and having the student ask questions along the way. Then, I allow the student to try some problems as we work through them together.
Although I do not have much experience with regards to tutoring, I often help my fellow peers with their homework and tutor them on the things that they struggle on. I am a strong student, currently #1 in my class, with straight A's with enrollment in Advanced Placement classes. Often times, my fellow peers come to me when their teacher is not accessible and need help regarding their classes. Of course, I'm always willing to help them because I want them to succeed.

Remote Tutoring in Physics, Math, & More

My approach to both physics and math is very concept oriented. I try to combat the 'shut up and calculate' approach that students often encounter in their schooling. Rather than expecting my students to quickly memorize and regurgitate information they barely understand, I expect students to actively engage with the material and to develop their own unique approach to problem solving. This means I am not the right tutor for students wanting me to just do their homework for them or cover a huge amount of material quickly. I find out what exactly the student is lacking in the subject by asking a few basic questions on the topic and make a judgement of the student's understanding on the topic and then proceed forward. I normally explain the concepts in diagrams so that it makes it easier for the student to visualize the problem and give the student plenty of practice problems for him/her to work on to make their understanding better
