I have spent the last three year being a nanny and tutor for kids in a variety of age groups. I have worked with all kinds of kids including special needs children, group home kids, High school students in AP classes, and Dyslexic children. I also have taught swim and Flute lessons in the past. I really enjoy working with children and, form my experience, children really enjoy working with me.
I find it's best to get to know each child individually before picking a teaching style to use. Most of my students have been successful because I mold me tutoring plans around their individual needs

I have been in the field of education for approximately 14 years of which the last 8 years have been special education. As a former military child, I have learned to adapt very quickly to any situation and believe every experience is a learning one. I have worked with both military and non-military with my duties in some jobs included helping people with software and computer skills. My undergraduate degree in Mass Communications strengthened my ability to communicate effectively and sparked further interest in education. I earned my Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2003 and I have taught creative writing, theatre, playwriting, and acting since then. In 2005, I gained my substitute teacher credential and have taught all around Sacramento, substituting for teachers in all subjects. I also write plays and poems.
