For five years, I have tutored through the No Child Left Behind program and privately. I have tutored all subjects except science. I have tutored K-12 up to calculus. My professional background before tutoring was in banking, insurance claims, and healthcare administration. I love tutoring one on one and in small groups. I graduated from Duke University in 2009 with a triple-major in Biomedical Engineering, Economics, and Mathematics. I have tutored in Economics and spent four years mentoring middle-schools students in Engineering as a Techtronics Fellow.
I have never been someone who "just gets it" when it comes to math or science, and so I understand more than many people who pursued degrees in these subjects just how puzzling they can be.
