During my time at college, I created a mentoring committee for underclassman that focused on business related items and school curriculum. Some students learn better with one on one and some do better with group work. You just have to try different approaches until you see which one works best. I have been tutoring since high school. When I was in high school, I tutored my brother in elementary level math. When I was in college, I tutored students in chemistry and math. I have a bachelor's degree in chemistry and have also had numerous math courses. I can tutor in any math subject up to calculus 2 and up to any undergraduate chemistry course.
I find that the best way to tutor my students is to find out what they are struggling with the most in a subject and then helping them with the basics in that subject.
