I use all the main teaching tools. Both hands on and visually for those students who need different tools. I love to interact with children and adults helping them through their classes to better their future. I also enjoy having a hand in their future success. I truely believe that a great teacher is one who teaches for the greater growth of their pupils and personally I strive to help them succeed.
As an Honor roll student, a student on the Dean's list I was lucky to have graduated early. I taught six graders through opelia. I have also tutored a master's Student through her Statistics. Currently tutoring a student via online on her Senior Algebra for her Liberal Arts degree. I will hold a BA degree come december of 2010. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies with concentrations in Sociology and Business from Excelsior College in Albany, NY. AN AAS in Equine Business from Northwest College, Powell, WY and a AA Liberal Arts Business and minor in Office Inforamtion Systems from WWCC. My Work experience has been a Tutor for Chautaqua- Striders, teacher aide for 5 years, and also being a Substitute teacher.

A Little Bit About Me...

During the last five years, I have tutored students of all ages from elementary to undergraduates in college. I have a Masters in Childhood Education. I have completed all the requirements for the NY State Chidhood Education and Students with Disabilities (1-6) certifications, which are currently pending. I previously worked in the legal and communications fields where I learned professional, communication and grammatical skills. Teaching is such a rewarding experience. It is an amazing feeling when you help a student learn something that they previously had been struggling with. My goal is to help the student by becoming interested in the material. If the student is interested in the material, they will have a better chance of learning it. I hope I can have the opportunity to make a difference in many students lives.
I have an Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor degree in Mathematics Education. I was a math tutor and math teaching assistant at Daemen College. I completed two student teaching placements in mathematics classrooms during my education. I also completed a volunteer experience at Seneca Babcock Preschool where I aided the teacher in helping the children learn colors and numbers. When I was a senior in high school, I taught Spanish to 2nd graders for a semester long project.
