I am a graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in English. In addition to studying English I also studied fine arts (painting, drawing, art history) and Spanish. I have tutored students from ages 5-18 in all subjects including English (reading and grammar), math, social studies, and science. My reading and grammar skills are helpful in all subjects because I am able to take apart sentences and paragraphs so that it is easier for students to understand. Teaching is my favorite part about being a biologist, i have help many students who are off to medical school, pharmacy school and biotechnology in fall 2009. I have been tutoring for four years now and I now that I am the right person to help educate my fellow peers into making it in life.

The summer I was a camp counselor I knew that I wanted to make a difference in children's lives. At that point, I decided to complete my BS in Kinesiology and then pursue an MA in Education. Upon graduation, I was employed by Detroit Public Schools teaching low income, bilingual children.
