My comments on tutoring Biology : I have been a tutor for over 15 years, with a BAS in Psychology, BS in Biology and Health Science, and a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine. My students usually pull up their grades from a F up to a C+, that's how much I help them understand the subject. Eventually they reach a B or A depending on how much effort they put into it. My specialty is to adjust the teaching method on the subject, to the student's learning ability. I believe everyone can learn, they just have different ways to do it. I also focus on the student's need, which is something most students nowadays don't obtain at school from their teachers.

Having parents that place a great emphasis in achieving higher education, I graduated from high school with the age of 15 years old and was accepted in National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, for the degree in Life Science Biology. 15 years experience in a broad variety of subjects!

I have a way of perceiving the difficulty the student has, and am able to explain the material in a simple way that makes it easy for students to grasp. I have a good rapport with my student and have had several that have told me that I am the best teacher they have ever had(which didn't hurt my ego!!) Hands on, and more of an application study. I believe that the only way to actually understand something is being able to apply it to real world situations.
My experience is all in college. I had 9 Labs in college in all my science courses. I excelled very well in my science courses and i keep learning. Did great in my research project class.
