A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent summa cum laude graduate from St. Catherine University in Saint Paul MN, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Studio Arts. I am currently finishing a year long fellowship at the Marchutz School of Fine Arts in the South of France where I have participated in the immersive painting and drawing program in addition to providing guidance and assistance to students. In my spare time I also tutor English and French as a second language to children ages 5-10. Being extensively involved in the learning process of so many students throughout the past year has been one of the most gratifying experiences of my education and I look forward to continuing the work! As an educator, I love teaching and working with students of all ages. Through my experience, I have learned and believe that all children can succeed academically. My teaching style is based on a responsive classroom approach and readers and writers workshop style. I teach and have been trained in educating students through a “Bloom’s Taxonomy” (Knowing that all students learn differently) approach.
