A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a medical student at the University of Minnesota Medical School Duluth. Before I started medical school I worked as a tutor for six years with two teenage boys with autism. Under the six years of my tutoring, both of these "disabled" kids were completely mainstreamed and even taking some AP and challenge classes. I believe that any kid can learn if they are taught in a way that is fun and structured. I tutored these kids in Math, Science, Social Studies and English. I also spent a semester as a Teaching Assistant in an upper level Philosophy course during my undergrad. Most of my TA tutoring was helping college students write papers.

I have taught music privately, for music stores, and taught and assisted with music in public and parochial schools. My teaching Internship was at Robbinsdale High School in art and commercial design. I served as Teaching Assistant to the Dean of Students while earning my Master's - emphasis was creative and professional writing skills. I licensed and administered preschools and day cares in my churches. I originated a heritage Theater troupe and taught through 21st Century Schools.
