I love learning math and science and I enjoy sharing the same love of learning with my students. I like seeing the look on their face when they really get it! Students requiring tutoring are sometimes in academic distress and have anxiety therefore I have a more easy going and patient style of tutoring than most. I believe I'm an effective tutor because I remember the exact same difficulties and questions I had as a student and can relate to their frustration. Most people as well as myself are visual learners thus I teach by working several examples and gradually increasing the difficulty at a pace set by the student. I enjoy teaching and helping other students understand difficult material. I love to use diagrams and other visual teaching tools. A Little Bit About Me...

Having struggled through four years of attempting to learn chemistry at the undergraduate level, listening to “inarticulate though erudite” lectures on various topics in chemistry in the dank, damp, hallowed halls of the University of Paisley, I was determined to redress the balance in favor of the student. My ideas on education have not changed much since those early days, though perhaps now I am better qualified to express these sentiments in line with stated educational theory. What I knew then intuitively, and dealt with likewise, I can now begin to better explain in a more formal language, learned, in the most part, as a Postgraduate student at Jordanhill College of Education.
