My comments on tutoring Special Education : Working with students or people that need a little extra help is my calling in life and I enjoy doing it. It takes a lot of patience and I have the patience of "Job."

My teaching style varies according to the student. I am able to adjust to the needs of the person or person I am tutoring.
I have 11 years of experience as a Paraprofessional on the secondary level. I work with children that have all kinds of learning disabilities and mild behavior problems. I have great skills in managing small groups of students and can carry out any accomodations on an IEP. I am fair, fun, but firm. I have been a Paraprofessional in an Inclusion setting classroom for the past 13 years. I am responsible for making sure that SPED students IEP is implemented and followed. I assist students in small groups as well as one on one. I have dealt with students with all types of disabilities such as LD, Ed, Add, ADHD, and OHI. Teaching to me is a vocation and not just a job. I enjoy helping children achieve their peek potential in the subject matter at hand.
