I try to make the student feel as comfortable as possible with making mistakes. That's the whole point of studying, to improve. This requires a lot of patience and understanding of how the student views the assignment. Looking back the teachers that I learned the most from were the ones that kept my attention and had practical experience with the courses I was taking. I hope to emulate them in my tutoring.
I have recently graduated from Virginia Tech where I majored in Biological Sciences. This included biology, physics, and chemistry as focus points. My tutoring experience has been volunteer work.
