A Little Bit About Me...

As a meteorologist visiting students I split my time up between lecture, group activities, visual experiments, and exciting weather video. I even had a section where the children helped me forecast and could stand in front of the camera and report the weather. I designed this lesson plan on purpose to hit on all the different learning needs of the students. My specific style of teaching, especially for the 8th grade, is to read the current book being used, and then present my lesson with lecture, interactive discussion and comprehension, based on the age and grade of the student. I like to put the lesson into terms that the age group can relate to, and then assign a memory technique that will teach the students to recall the proper answer by using the examples we have discussed in class.
