As a parent of two school-aged children I have had the oppurtunity to learn about the newest teaching methods employed by teachers at this time. We often work together on math and science. I am currently working on my teaching certification in middle school science, but have always been had excelent aptitude for mathmatics. I also substitute in the Blue Springs, Grain Valley and Fort Osage School district in which I often assist students with work that has been left for them by the teacher, whether it be math, science or english. I have worked as a para-educator for approximately two years in an elementary school setting. I spent one on one time with students to assist them with increasing their comprehension of school materials. I have substituted a number of times and I have also taught summer school.
