Although I value my college degree in biology and formal education, my real love for learning and teaching has been honed over the years teaching my own kids at home. I've homeschooled them in every general subject for the last eight years. I have developed a love and knowledge for history, government, the sciences, writing, and mathematics up through algebra. I am very flexible with my communication style, and can easily and quickly assess and tailor my teaching style with whomever I am teaching. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with children and get a kick from seeing a discovery or understanding in a students eyes. I've had the opportunity to collect numerous bio. samples for hands on experience. I have also taken workshops in the workings of google earth as a teaching tool along with mapping and watershed principles.I feel I have benn successful in elightening many student's lives.
I started teaching in 1970 as a K-8 substitute, continuing until being hired by a private school in 1975. I then taught full time in East LA. A Little Bit About Me...

I have recently graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Elementary Education. I have had many years caring for children and have three years experience tutoring/teaching children. From these experiences I have been able to grow as a teacher and therefore help my students grow and learn more in depth concepts.
I believe all children can learn but they each need to learn in a way that fits them. I feel that I can provide each child with the necessary curriculum knowledge in a fun and engaging way.
