I was a tutor for 2 years in Korea and I love to see student's improvement. I took AP Microeconomics and Macro Economics in 2007 and I got 5 on both test. I took SAT Subject math2 and I made 780 on the test. I made 2010 out of 2400 on SAT1. I went to Georgia Southern University for a year as joint enrollment program. I graduated Statesboro High School in 2012 and now I’m going to college in New York. I’m going to Clarkson University and I am double major in Global Supply Chain Management and Psychology and minor in Pre-Law. I try to be really patient because I know some subjects aren't very logical to some students.
I have been tutoring ever since elementary school. Since I was the only one that knew how to read, I had to assist in the others' learning of Phonetic sounds. I've also tutored fellow classmates in middle school, high school, and college. If I don't know how to approach a certain topic, I ask for the assistance of some of my former professors because they know I'm trying to help other students.

Master's Level Tutuor- Looking to help our Youth

I have worked with many children and adolescents, for the past 8 years, mentoring and tutoring. I enjoy working with our youth and feel that education is very important, especially in today's society. I understand that each individual learns differently, and that it is important to cater to each individual's needs. I also feel that learning can be fun, as well. I took advantage of opportunities (to help further my education) that I was given, when I was younger, and feel that it is important to give back.

Love to Teach

I have always believed in "connecting the dots." Knowledge and learning cannot be strictly confined to subject-area teaching. For example, many academic subjects can be studied while one writes, makes art, to creates stories, practices problem solving, or invents solutions to problems we are facing in this modern age. Listening to students and providing opportunities for them to demonstrate knowledge is very important. I never want learning to bore a student. Once understanding is achieved, that knowledge should be put to use and new challenges should be introduced.
I began teaching Art to middle school students within the public school system in 1989. I began working with elementary grades in 1991. I began to pursue a master's degree in Education in 2007 through the University of Phoenix (UoP). The online experience and consistent communication with my instructors and classmates ... read more

ESL/French teacher/SAT verbal coach/English tutor for K-12

I teach all levels in ESL and French. My teaching methods depend greatly on the students as every student has his or her own learning style! I am very patient with young children as I have had four children myself.
I have been teaching French to English-speaking people living in France since 1979. I have also been teaching English as a Second Language to French adults in a business environment and to high school/college students as well. I particularly enjoy tutoring reading and spelling to children K-12th Grade. However, since I have been residing in France for over 35 years, my speciality is also ESL and French to non-French speakers. My undergraduate degree was obtained at Agnes Scott College (Decatur, GA) and I went to France for my Junior Year Abroad. I am now moving back to the States (Savannah).

I liken tutoring sessions to the repair of a crumbling pyramid. I believe that every student is capable of learning and understanding the material that is presented to them in class, but that due to some reason, he or she does not understand some of the basic concepts that later material adds onto. Hence, the base of their pyramid is unstable. Usually in the first tutoring session, I try to gauge where the student is supposed to be in the material while at the same time trying to figure out where the missing foundation stones are. Once key concepts are explained, I then give students some examples to bolster their confidence and to be sure that they have learned the material.
I have 6 years experience tutoring various aspects of math and chemistry to individuals of all ages: I was varsity captain of my high school math team and led tutoring sessions for algebra, geometry, trigo ... read more
