A Little Bit About Me...

I fundamentally believe anyone can learn. If a student isn’t grasping a concept, it just means I have to change my style of teaching. So what is my teaching style…anything that helps a student achieve his or her potential. But the one thing I teach all my students is how to find their learning style. Once you know how you retain information you can do anything.
How do I summarize teaching in my life? I guess the best way to explain my teaching experience is to tell you a story. As a young girl I wanted to be a teacher. Having received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Cornell University and the University of California in the area of physical science (Atmospheric Science), I have attained a high level of knowledge in multiple areas ranging from Math and Science (particularly Physics) as well as Chemistry and Biology. In addition, while at Cornell University I earned a Minor in Communications focusing on both Written and Oral Communication. Regarding my abilities as a tutor, at Cornell I was employed as a Teaching Assistant for two upper level courses in the area of physical science.
