A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching. Working with a student one-to-one or even in small groups allows a student to have their individual needs met. Tutoring has the advantage of catching the student where they are struggling to comprehend. I am patient, creative, and prefer to model examples for my students. I believe that a strong foundation in the basics will help a student grasp more difficult concepts. My favorite venue is the use of a dry erase board and having the student model back an example to evaluate if they understood the concepts or the steps to the solution.
I have been an educator for over 10 years. Even as an undergrad, I was interested in working with children and spent my summers employed with the YMCA's youth programs.
