If there's one thing I've learned from my last several years of teaching, it's that each student learns in his/her own way, and it's the job of the teacher to perceive those needs and tailor their teaching style to meet them. Although society is more aware of this now than ever before, today's classroom structure is severely detrimental to meeting a diverse array of needs. Tutoring is one way to combat the growing trend of disproportionate teacher/student ratios, and I look forward to providing the kind of personalized instruction every student deserves. Moreover, after years of interpreting and teaching the lesson plans of other teachers, I've developed a talent for gauging their expectations, and can help those students I tutor learn to do the same.
