A Little Bit About Me...

I have a completely hands on approach to teaching. I work with the student to see what it is they understand and what they do not. From there we work through the different areas until the student fully understands what they are missing. This allows for the student to feel as though they have a sense of accomplishment.
I have tutored for many years. I first started tutoring in High School, then while I was in College and lately for the neighborhood children. I have brought younger children up to speed in reading (k-5). I have worked with children in Middle School and High School with their math work. I have tutored pre-algebra and algebra.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a pre-pharmacy student at Southern Utah University. I will be moving to Las Vegas in late april and am very interested in this position. I have taken exensive chemistry courses including General Chemistry I & II, Organic Chimistry I and II, Medicinal Chemistry, and Biochemistry. I have also taken Math classes up to and including Calculus I, and a large amount of Biology courses. I have been a Teacher's Assistant for Organic Chemistry this past semester. I currently am a lab technician intern in a chemical lab where I have learned practical application to Chemistry. I am a current student at UNLV earning my dual Bachelor degrees in Marketing and Health Care Administration. During my time as a student I have helped tutor my brother and friends in various subjects from English to Math. I have been able to develop my grammatical skills through extensive report and research papers and many communications and writing classes.
I believe children learn through experiences. I encourage children to work through what they are having difficulties with and guide them through the correct process. I believe just telling a child what to do doesn't actually give them an opportunity to process everything completely.
