My goal is to connect the information to the real world. I want students to understand why it is important to know today’s topic. I want to empower the students with the same drive to know how the world works. Motivation is key. A motivated student will care more about doing well. Also, developing critical thinking skills is an important part of any science curriculum.
Science is a topic that I have always been interested in. I earned a bachelor degree in chemistry, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science. My experience tutoring Math and Science is extensive. I started formally tutoring Chemistry in 1996 as a chemistry tutor. Throughout my Bachelor's and Master's degrees I tutored students independently. This helped me develop a wider range of approaches with which to help different students learn. I am well versed in many different mathematical disciplines. I am familiar with everything from arithmetic to graduate level mathematics and statistics. I am also familiar with many areas in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at the freshman level.
