A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with toddlers and children under the age of 6. Taught them how to count,read,and write. Also worked with teenagers (age 10 to 17), in subjects such as world history, basic algebra, anatomy, earth science, chemistry,physiolog, English and French. I graduated from samford university with as a psychology major. During my time at Samford, I was the assistant for basic and advanced Russian classes . Biology and Chemistry Tutoring

Hello, I am a recent UAB graduate. I graduated May 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with minor's in Psychology and Chemistry. I am currently in the process of applying to dental schools. Although I've had no previous experience as a paid tutor, I often get asked by fellow classmates for help with these sciences. Also I volunteer at an Elementary school in Fairfield, AL through the non-profit organization Better Basics. So I am already accustomed to working/helping younger kids (K-6th) do homework and prepare for tests. My younger brother is a sophomore in high school so I feel capable of helping high school ages as well. As I mentioned earlier, most of my tutoring experience comes from helping fellow college classmates and I am confident I can help you or your child achieve the grades desired, regardless of age.

Want a laid back but knowledgable tutor?

I have tutored for different Universities in the fields of: Biology, Organic Chemistries, Physiology, Anatomy, Zoology. I taught Organic Chemistry lectures and labs at the University of West Alabama. I will also have a minor in Physics, and a B.S. in Chemical and Biological Engineering by the Fall of 2013. I have been a Regional Science Fair judge in the field of Biochemistry. I have presented research for the Alabama Academy of Sciences and the Association of Southestern Biologists. Also, I worked as a Process Engineer intern for BP Petrochemicals this summer (2012).
I prefer to start off by making sure that students understand all underlying concepts related to the material in interests. Afterwards, I like to explain the material just as if I were teaching it, or allow students to ask questions of which trouble them most.
