I had volunteered to tutor students in High School, have experience assisting family members of all ages (ranging from 6 to 65), and a great deal of experience working with college students. This might be the course I have the most fun with! Very much based on working with what the student knows. I tend to start by having them explain to me what they are doing and what they think. I then provide some guidance and walk through a sample problem with them. I ask that they try another problem like it on their own and ask questions to prompt them as they work. In terms of online tutoring. I make use of a headset microphone and a touch tablet. As well as many free online applications, such as a whiteboard, Skype, and educational resources.
