I provide a relaxed atmosphere for students with encouragement and positive reinforcement. I make index cards for students that contain important formulas and concepts. I provide examples of problems while I describe problem solving strategies and I provide feedback to students while they work.
Starting in October of 2008, I was an Instructional Assistant at Sacramento City College for three semesters. I help students with math, statistics, and science. I also gave workshops in study skills, learning styles, test preparation, test taking, and stress management. At the same time I began tutoring on a private basis. I led a semester long Beacon tutoring supplement course in Organic Chemistry that supported 20 junior college students. I have effectively tutored/mentored a number of high school students in general education coursework, organizational skills, and in preparation for exit examinations. I have conducted community based math group sessions for junior high and high school students. Finally, I have supported 1st and 2nd grade elementary school students in math and reading comprehension. My comments on tutoring Inorganic Chemistry : Received an A- in AP Chemistry - College Course. I know Chemistry extremely well.

I am ranked 12 ou of 496 in my class. I am an Honors and AP college student. I have a 4.83 grade point average. I take eight classes a day from 5:50am - 3:00pm. I am a voluntary tutor for students after school and I have been successfully doing that for a year now.
