I worked in the financial sector for 10 years and have a Master's Degree in Economics and Finance. Since a student is a human being before he or she assumes the role of the learner, it is incumbent upon the teacher to respect the individual, and likewise earn his or her respect, first, well before considering the more technical pedagogical aspects.
