Teaching to me is a vocation and not just a job. I enjoy helping children achieve their peek potential in the subject matter at hand. My teaching experience is mostly in private school settings and I taught public school for a year. I am currently waiting to be certified in Spanish in Virginia and will be taking the courses necessary to become a certified teacher in the near future. Children's church is where a year of my experience comes from. I would guide a group of children during the service and would spend individual time with those who wanted to brush up on their reading and writing. I enjoyed every minute of this experience and can say I made an impact in those children's lives.
I love working with children of all ages. I can say I am patient enough to deal with elementary students being that I've done so before. My teaching style is so passionate, I love opening doors to where students actually grasps the idea of learning and the effectiveness of it. As a young adult I often times relate my learning experience to theirs, in order for the students to see hard work actually pays off. I love working with children. I believe each child has a different way of learning. I believe children can reach their full learning potential when working with the right teaching strategies. I believe in providing a constructivist learning theory. I believe in a hands-on approach as well. A teacher can make a huge difference in a child’s life, which is what I strive to do.
