My comments on tutoring American History : I love American History because I am an American. Knowing ones history is very important to me. Knowing where you came from is a good starting point for when deciding your goals or path in life.

I have 11 years of experience as a Paraprofessional on the secondary level. I work with children that have all kinds of learning disabilities and mild behavior problems. I have great skills in managing small groups of students and can carry out any accomodations on an IEP. I am fair, fun, but firm. Which means I want to make sure that you understand the lesson well and that you are capable of doing work like this whenever the need arises.
My teaching style varies according to the student. I am able to adjust to the needs of the person or person I am tutoring.

I completed a class in high school named Teach Cadet where I learned the basics about education and the importance of being a versatile teacher. I was able to work with children from head start to elementary level. Lawyer Turned Homeschooling Mom Can Make Learning Fun!

The key to successful teaching is to make it fun!
I have a law degree, but most of my experience comes from working with my own kids and spending hundreds of hours volunteering at their schools helping other children. I home schooled my children for 3 years for the middle school years and so I have experience motivating the surly teen who has no motivation to work as well as the young child that just wants to play. I also taught my children and many others how to read at very young ages and have perfected the technique for teaching children math and reading who love to move. Progress not perfection

In school I'm often choosen to help other students learn material that they are struggling with.
