I have been involved with education for roughly the past five years, spending 2 as a substitute teacher, 2.5 as a Middle and High School Social Studies teacher and 0.5 as an Adult Education Instructor. I hold a Master's Degree in Social Studies Education from Morehead State University and a Bachelor's Degree in History from Alice Lloyd College. Classes I have taught include United State History, World History, World Geography and Law & Justice. My teaching style varies depending on the students I am teaching. It consists of lecture notes, handouts, exams and quizes and games such as Jeopardy. I believe that all students have the ability to learn and grow as individuals. It is my job as the teacher to make learning both enjoyable and educational. My main goal in education is to make a difference in the lives of the students I teach.

I've had more than 15 years of experince in teaching college-level Math courses ranging from Intermediate Algebra to Differential Equations and Real Analysis. I also have been tutoring students in different levels of Math for about 13 years. Presently, I'm an Assistant Professor at a small local University. I enjoy working with students, especially in small-group or individual settings. I always try to tailor my teaching style to the needs of my students, to make their learning experience as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. I'm very patient and considerate. I try to encourage my students to work hard in order to achive their heighest potential.

I have also coached on the same level the following sports at one time or another: Football, Wrestling, Track, Baseball, Golf, and Softball; as well as being a certified official in wrestling and softball. I have also participated in a numerous amount of "inservice" experiences. I enjoy watching students learn and to see them grow in knowledge and their ability to solve various challenges as they mature. i try to set an example for the students to emulate by letting them know I was at their age at one time, and that I needed help along the way as well.
