Greensburg Tutor Seeking New Students!

I have over two years of professional tutoring experience both in classroom under professor supervision and one on one. My specialties includes subjects such as mathematics and Spanish, but I have assisted students in other subjects such as composition, grammar, and history as well. I began studying french in the 9th grade, became President of my high school's French Club my senior year, and then attended the University of PIttsburgh at Johnstown Majoring in Creative Writing while working on my French certification. I have experience teaching many types of students. I worked one-on-one, daily, with an autistic student during my last position, so I understand that not every student learns in the same way. I think it works well to give shorter lessons to a small group, and then work individually with the students. I like to encourage them to help one another if they feel confident in the subject. I pay great attention to verifying that each student is following the lesson. My main teaching style is "I do, you do," meaning I show them how to do a problem, or spell a word, and then they show me how. I like to work with the parent and child on any goals they have for the year, while updating the parent and child on progress, problems, and behavior.
