My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : I created a phonemic matching card game that my primary students greatly enjoy playing.

I have worked as a Special Education Instructional Assistant for the past 8 years. I am currently attending school to become a special education teacher. I have experience teaching many different students from various grade levels and have tracked their academic progression. I have ran several reading and math interventions for my school sites for kindergarten through 8th grade.
Interactive modeling of examples, repetition, and simplifying subject matter are key components of my teaching style. Many students have difficulty relating to academic material due the lack being given time to practice example assignments. I also teach universal strategies of how to study material to fully understand assignments.

I grew up living with kids around me. I know how to make them happy and energetic. I learned how to make myself adjust to how the kids like in order for them to listen to me.
