I have tutored and mentored my friends and classmates in school. I feel comfortable guiding students and helping them with problem solving. I like to do research on problems i can not resolve and i try to solve them within a reasonable amount of time. There are different ways of going about solving a problem. There are chat rooms on chatzilla, google, netbeans.org and tutorials which guide one to the solution. I use the combination of all. I also carry my laptop around where ever possible. Since graduating from college, I have been instructing professionals and employees in safety behavior and safety management processes. By far, the biggest issue I have found with students with difficulty learning mathematics or the sciences is that there is a lack of motivation to learn, primarily because they do not understand the implications of the knowledge in front of them. Because I have studied physics, mathematics, and completed the pre-medicine curriculum at my university, I am brimming with knowledge of these applications. Once my students have gained an understand of all the cool stuff we can do with knowledge in these avenues, they tend to absorb concepts much more readily.
