Social Studies is one of my top subjects! High school AP student with A's in every social studies class taken

I am hands on. I personally learn best from things like powerpoints and handouts. This is also the way I tend to teach others.
I am a high school senior in the AP/Honors program at Warner Robins High School. I have two little sisters who I have tutored since they began school. On average, they have scored higher on tests when I have helped, particularly in the area of social studies. I have also helped multiple students at my school. The average that they score on a test is typically ten points higher than when they study by themselves and, in some cases, twenty points if the student does not study at all. The results are typically better in social studies, the subject which I am most proficient in, but all subjects tend to shoe significant improvement.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a substitute teacher I never really was able to develop a specific style of teaching. Each teacher had their own way of doing things and each class was different. However, I feel the best way for anyone to learn be it adult or student is to let the student take the lead. I would give them the instructions as to what needs to be accomplished, let them do the work, and be there for any questions or assistance that would be needed.

When I worked in Korea as an English teacher I tried to teach my students on as much of an individual basis as possible given the classroom settings I was working in. I would try to guide the students toward the correct answers whenever possible so as to let them discover the information on their own rather that have it told to them.
