Creative Writing is one of my top subjects!

A mix of hands on and hands off learning. Highly fond of the socratic method of teaching by guiding the pupil in the direction they need to go and letting them discover the solution organically. Direction and help are given directly when needed.

A Little Bit About Me...

As an Academic All-American and SUNY Chancellor Award winner, I've always valued education. I tutored writing and englisg-related topics in college. I also was a state certified hunter safety instructor for two years. I spent 8 years teaching life and social skills to developmentally disabled adults and even was able to get one to craft his own poetry,which we both found very rewarding.
I believe the best teaching involves personal attention to that in which the student's interests lie. I have been substitute teaching for 5 years. Within that time I decided that teaching was for me and went on to get my degree and certificate to teach. I have completed several long-term substitute teaching positions, picking up where a teacher left off, often times unexpectedly. I have taught classes in the elementary, middle and high school.
