I have taught elementary phonics for thirty years in various grades from Kindergarten to sixth grade. I use a combination of both online games and Websites and hands-on manipulatives. First, I like for the student to take multiple intelligence tests and then I know how best to help the student. The information I gain from the analysis is extremely informative. It tells me where the students' strengths lie such as some students are musically inclined, some are visual learners, auditory learners, some are mathematicians and various other styles. I teach students in an informal manner. My individual students call me Phyllis. I welcome questions, and if I do not have an immediate answer, we will look up the answer together.
