A Little Bit About Me...

I am graduating from Texas Tech University in August with a B.A. in psychology. I do very well in tutoring math, especially cal, because I struggled with the subject at first, it didn't come natural, and thus I am able to break it down into understandable levels. I really love being able to teach someone something and seeing the Ah-ha moment. I helped a friend in college go from an F to a B in cal.

My teaching style is thus: First engage the student about what subject he likes, engage in small talk and then tutor the assignments. ALways praise the student and point his or her strong abilities and plus tell the student they can do this assignment. First I let the student try the assignment and then I will jump in and help.
Since moving to Houston in 1999, I have accrued teaching experience in the following venues: Adminsitration, helping students with time management skills and homework. Taught my own children phonics, constructed science fair experiments and writing assignments. Tutor: Tutored a child with learning disabilities in Social Science, Language Arts, Spelling and History.
