A Little Bit About Me...

My style focuses on the processes in arriving at a solution. The learning goal in mathematics is to impart understanding of the process of working toward a solution, not attaining the solution. In mathematics as many other endeavors, it is how we proceed to a goal that is important, not the goal itself. The achievement at the end is the result of making the correct choices during the journey to the end.
Since undergraduate work, I have worked in the business world, primarily in the manufacturing arena. My academic experiences have continued on some level. In times past I tutored high school math students in North Carolina. I am proficient is equations, inequalities, Cartesian Coordinate System, polynomials, factoring and functions.

I have been out of college, working in the IT industry for about 8 years now. While in college, I tutored fellow students in the school's lab in the subjects of English and Mathematics. Within my current position, I train users on a daily basis on various software applications and basic PC utilization/troubleshooting.

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy being able to work with children and being able to positively impact their lives whether that be through empowering them to succeed or teaching new skills. Throughout my graduate studies I worked as a substitute teacher from grades pre-k-12; however I especially enjoyed working with younger children as it allows for more creativity and thinking outside of the box. I would consider myself to be very patient, open-minded and understanding of every individual's needs.
