I believe that every student deserves a quality education, and it is my responsibility not just to lecture or impart information, but to ensure that students gain a fundamental understanding of the material being presented. Consequently, I believe that learning should be an expansive process. Students need to acquire knowledge, retain it, and build upon it rather than memorize bits of information that will be later forgotten.
I have taught as an English Instructor at East Mississippi Community College and Mary Holmes College. I taught several courses. Developmental I and II were very basic grammar and writing courses. Composition I and II were courses that introduced students to writing essays and the research paper.
