Mathematics Tutor (middle/high school)

Hello! I have just graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education and a Physics minor. I have had a lot of experience teaching and tutoring thus far and am currently searching for a full-time teaching position for the fall but would love to continue tutoring this summer and fall. I have worked as a TA (Teacher's Assistant) and a math tutor for the Mathematics department at the University of Delaware for two years and have loved every minute of it. I love teaching other people and I really get a sense of satisfaction when they are able to understand what I have taught them. I tend to teach by using examples as I think it is easier for the student to understand a concept by seeing a visual picture or example. I am a patient teacher who works hard to make sure the student understands the concpet correctly.
I decided early on in my college experience that I wanted to major in mathematics. During my experience as a tutor, I have gained the ability to identify the best way to convey the material in a way that matches the individual needs of the learner. Another thing that I have learned as a student and as a math tutor, is that the best and the most efficient way of learning in math is through practice and more practice.
