So a couple years ago, I decided to get a certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at The New School in New York City. I believe that all children learn differently and at different levels and as a teacher, you need to recongize that and adapt your lessons to your students so they can achieve. For social studies, most student think that class is all about taking notes and reading from the book but I put a twist on all of my lessons. I do a lot of group projects, I have the students do presentations for each other on the material and also reanacts of big events to help the students understand what really happened with that specific event and how it impacted history.

My favorite aspect of coaching, teaching, and tutoring is the personal connection I build with my students. I have helped tutor friends’ kids on math from little school to high school. I have taken math all the way up to Differential equations and feel alright tutoring up to calculus one. I do not possess documented experience from schools or other organizations. I am a very highly motivated individual that does not mind helping others.
