Most of my adult life has been dedicated to helping people strive for and achieve personal and academic success. I have worked in the academic field for approximately 8 years; tutoring at a community college level for 4 years and scoring MEAP tests for 4 years. In addition, I have provided on the job training for individuals needing extra help. My comments on tutoring Testing Strategies : Have been trained in University of Kansas, Test Taking Strategy-- it's very well researched on learning disabled and at-risk students, and is also taught in many general ed. settings.

I teach to the student's strengths and continually tailor my instruction to my observations and assessments of the student's learning preferences and progress. I have 12 years of K-12 experience as a special education teacher, and nine years experience as a tutor.
