While completing my masters in Special Education, I have learned creative ways to help children with special needs that I work with. I have designed and coordinated a Resource Center to help students with special needs learn and achieve at their level. I have also designed and implemented a school for children with special needs.
I believe that every child has a right to learn. I believe that, no matter what kind of problem or learning disability that student has, that he/she deserves to learn. I obtained my AAS in 1986, from Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, NY. Working toward the BS wasn’t easy as it took another 8 years of night coursework. I eventually obtained my BS from the State University of New York Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome, in 1994. I have excellent communication, writing, and problem solving skills. The credit requirement for my degree was 146 credits, which is a little bit more than the average.
