I earned my MA degree in Biology from Villanova University in December 1997. For the next two years I earned my living by tutoring students in biology and math as a side business until I landed a research position at Princeton University in 1999. Since then I have been doing laboratory research in the pharmaceutical industry. My extensive background in Biology has allowed me to learn several aspects in the field that I would not have learned in the classroom. Although my tutoring was not through official channels, I feel that my experience taught me that each student is different and responds to different types of approaches of learning. For example, some people learn best by remembering acronyms, while others are better at visualization. A Little Bit About Me...

After 18 years in the pharmaceutical and medical fields I have set my sights to earning my teaching certification. I am a father of three, a Volunteer Fire Fighter and self described science buff. I am looking to tutor to help students to fine their love of science and also to help them build the study skills that will help to make school easier and improve grades.
I use a very interactive teaching style which encourages students to think out a problem and to understand it in a way that makes most sense to them. I use analogies to make more complex concepts more accessible to the student, and as a way to help them to learn and understand the concepts.
