A Little Bit About Me...

My early teaching and learning style was to do as many problems that were thrown at me in class or the text. I learned quickly that you need to understand the problem in order to solve problems that aren't set up for you. A Little Bit About Me...

I obtained a strong liberal arts education where I was able to experience and learn about a wide range of academic topics. However, I have a strong focus and specialization in the sciences with a BA in both Biology and Chemistry with a Mathematics minor. Math and science has been a strong area of mine, as I was a Supplemental Instructor for a genetics course for two semesters, as well as being a Laboratory Assistant that assisted students with questions or problems during genetics laboratory. Along to way to obtaining my various degrees, my sentiment changed from achieving an accounting degree to achieving more knowledge in multiple areas. I pursued this avenue in order to expand my horizons as well as my marketability upon graduation. Instead of becoming a graduate with a degree in accounting, I became a multiple graduate with knowledge in many different areas, including accounting and financial management.
